With its super low profile and new user interface, the FITEL 122 Series Fusion Splicer offers next generation workability for every splicing field: FTTx, LAN, backbone or long-haul installations.
Fitel manufactures an impressive variety of fusion splicers and the S177A fusion splicer is one of their top models. The S177A incorporates an improved heating design that cuts splice-to-heat time by 40 percent. The T-shaped body design is 40 percent lighter than standard units and weighs only 4.85 lbs. with the included battery.
The Fitel S182 series of fusion splicers is specially designed for high-strength and specialty fiber splicing applications. While both splicers are capable of high-strength splices up to 300kpsi, the S182A is for attenuation while the S182K is for splicing dissimilar specialty fibers.
The S121 series of fusion splicers from Fitel are the first fully functional fusion splicers designed specifically for fiber-to-the-home applications. At nearly 1/3 the size of regular fusions splicers, the T-shaped units can be operated in space-constrained areas using only one hand. Designed for a minimum excess fiber length, these splicers feature fully automatic fiber feed, alignment, splicing arc, and tension test. All splicing operations can be monitored for accuracy using an integrated CCD camera and a 2.5-inch LCD display.
