New Fiber Optics Training Course Available From The Light Brigade

March 16, 2010 - The Light Brigade unveiled a new website and their new four-day technical training course entitled, "Fiber Optics for Utilities". The course is specifically developed to help the power utilities address their training needs to increase deployment speed and reduce operation costs by improving the fiber optic technology skills of their personnel. It includes two days of hands-on exposure to cable handling and installation, cable preparation, optical cable splicing, closure preparation, OTDR testing, and optical loss testing. The course level is introductory to intermediate. Students will utilize the latest fiber optic equipment while learning how to splice, terminate, test, and troubleshoot optical fiber networks unique to power utility applications.
