Sunrise Telecom Releases Enhanced Carrier Ethernet Verification Platform

April 12, 2010 – Sunrise Telecom Inc. has announced the immediate availability of an enhanced version of the STT Metro Carrier Ethernet verification platform. The STT Metro field test platform addresses the service verification requirements for Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) External Network to Network Interfaces (ENNI).

The MEF ENNI defines interface and service attributes necessary for multiple operators to cooperate for the delivery of Carrier Ethernet services and enables the global interconnection of Carrier Ethernet services at Ethernet Network Exchange (ENX) points operated by major network operators around the world. The STT Metro test set is designed to provide a complete approach for verifying services at the ENNI.

Sunrise Telecom has enhanced the STT Metro platform with Carrier Ethernet operations, administration, and maintenance (OAM) capabilities designed to automate the process of validating the mandatory OAM functionality at the ENNI. This new capability completes the ENNI verification suite, Sunrise Telecom asserts.
